GeoSolv believes that we have a fundamental responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate. We are fully committed to improving environmental performance across all of our business activities, and we encourage our business partners and members of the wider construction community to join us in this effort.

Environmental Policy

GeoSolv seeks to establish and sustain a positive environmental legacy for current and future generations. In doing so, the company is committed to minimizing its overall impact on the environment while encouraging environmentally responsible behaviour on the part of its employees, subcontractors, and business associates. Specifically, GeoSolv aims to conserve water, energy and ecosystems; to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; to minimize waste and to inspire public awareness in support of environmental sustainability. GeoSolv seeks to identify measure, understand the direct and indirect impact of its operations, and to develop innovative and realistic solutions for mitigating those impacts. It also complies with, and, in many cases, exceeds Ontario environmental laws and regulations, particularly pertaining to construction and engineering contractors.

Environmental Focus Areas: Water and Energy Conservation

Improve water and energy efficiencies in existing operations. Explore and invest in new technologies and systems that enhance water and energy conservation at worksites. Include water and energy management as an integral part of planning for future projects to reduce the overall consumption of water and energy in terms of everything we do.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction

Reduce harmful GHG emissions by identifying the sources and implementing sound solutions, including source elimination, efficiency improvement, minimizing transportation, and increasing the use of clean fuels.

Waste Minimization

Minimize waste in our operations and business activities. Dispose of waste conscientiously and creatively by making “reduce/reuse/recycle” our standard operating procedure. Incorporate waste reduction into the design of our ground solutions, programs, and facilities; reduce waste through innovative product development, supply-chain management, and end-of-life recycling.

Ecosystem Conservation

Promote habitat conservation through co-operative efforts with Ontario construction, environmental communities and organizations committed to preserving the earth’s biodiversity and ecosystem functions.

Inspire Action

Engage and inspire employees and business associates to make positive impacts on the environment. Integrate environmental messaging into all GeoSolv projects.

GeoSolv is a proud member of the Canada Green Building Council.
